Part 1 of Two-Week Vacation North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Albania
Transportation To Piraeus Port
As a starting point for our Greek Island Tour, we took the bus (X96) directly to Piraeus port. The bus cost around 5.5 EUR per person. Spending a night at a local hotel booked via Agoda, we took the ferry to Santorini the next day.
3 Days In Santorini
Arriving the THIRA port, We took the local bus for 2 EUR per person to Fira. Then, we checked into the Antonio Hotel and started our first day exploring Fira. On the second day, we visited Oia exploring the famous three blue domed churches view point. Finally, we enjoyed the sunrise of Fira before departing to Mykonos.
The local bus in Santorini, known as Ketl, is the most economical mode of transportation. The landscapes in both Fira and Oia are incredibly beautiful. Being a budget traveled, we ate a lot of Gyros in Santorini. It is the best wallet-friendly Greek local food, especially those from Jimmy Souvlaki.

3 Days In Mykonos:
After a 4 hour turbulent boat ride, we arrived the Mykonos new por. We had to take a taxi to our booked apartment. Public transport in Mykonos was not as good as in Santorini, especially during non-peak season. Luckily, most of the iconic attractions are near the coast. Thus, within 30 minutes walking, we could reach basically everywhere from our apartment. Throughout our stay in Mykonos, we did see several public ferries passing by with destination to the old port, but the schedule remained unclear.
Compared to Santorini Mykonos gave us a felt more tranquil feeling. Particularly, we enjoyed various stunning scenes of the island clustering around the coastline. Each of the scenes is very soul-healing. Other than that there were also a lot of many beautiful boutiques in between the streets.
Getting married in the same year, I took the chance to have some casual pre-wedding photos near the Windmills of Mykonos and the Marshmallow Church.
Other than the popular icons, we discovered two hidden gems on the island. The first was the charming and affectionate stray cats which are very friendly towards humans. The second gem was a location near the top of a church, offering a breathtaking view of the entire Mykonos Island. For more about the 3 days in Mykonos.
