There are multiple Bubble In The Forest Cafe Bangkok Reviews online. But don’t get confused. In short, Bubble In The Forest is only worth going if you love taking IG photos.
It is a very well decorated café located around 40 minutes drive from Bangkok. It has the best Maldives-theme for photo, standard food & beverage menu at a reasonable price.
If you check the reviews on the café, you will have a very polarized feedbacks. Some really love it but some hate it. You may wonder if it is worthy. Afterall, there are lots of cafe in Bangkok Thailand.
I have been to there and find it worth going. However, you should have the right expectation. Or else you may regret it.
So this blogpost will include the IG photo spots, menu price, transport and other information for you to make the call.
If you have decided going to the café, feel free to check out our post for booking or book table directly here. Or you can add in a set menu with below best valued option.
Bubble In The Forest Table Reservation Plus Menu Set
The best-valued Bubble In The Forest online package includes table reservations, a set menu, and souvenirs. The price is just ~ USD 35 per person, saving you hustle and you just need to focus on the photo. You can check the menu here.
The IGable Spots
Again the main or even only reason for going to the café is for taking photos. If you want a family experience, you should go Bangkok Safari World instead. If you are looking for shopping, the Big C Supercenter, the JJ market or even the Mixt Chautuchak mall is the way to go.
If you are looking to show lovely photos surrounded by the Maldives-like circular tables in the middle of bridge surrounded by the water. This is the place for you to go. There are four main areas (double deck building, swing boat house, bridge, bar zone) for photo in the café. You can pre-book your seating there online. Even if you got assigned to other areas, you can take photo in those areas as long as you don’t disturb other customers.
Double Deck Building

The best area for photo is the second floor of the double deck building in the café. From there you have the best angle from the top covering the whole café with the main bridge, the water, the circular clusters and the boat houses. Other than that you will also have a chance to get on the famous net-seat on the top for attractive photo post. You just need to be aware not to fall from above.
Bridge Circular Table

Instead of bubble forest, the café is famous for its name as “small Maldives”, this mainly refers to the circular tables connected to the main bridge surrounded by the tutoiseblue water. From there, you can chill and enjoy your drinks and food in the middle of the water. For photo, it is the second best scene to take photo similar to the Maldives resort.
Swing Boat House

I ranked the Swing Boat House as the third area. Objectively speaking, it is still a good place to take photo from inside the boat house. The boat house looks nice but it is just quite common scene in most other places in Asia like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Luang Prabang.
Bar Zone
The lease preferred zone is the bar zone. I can’t really tell difference of the area from some other decent cafes. However, as I said before you can just go to other areas especially the bridge for photo. So even if you are assigned to this place because of walk-in, it should still be fine.
Best Time For Photo
The best time for photo is around 11 am or 4 – 6pm. Try to avoid 2 – 4 pm which the sunshine would hinder your photo.
The Food & Beverage

With the fame as small Maldives and a must-go café for every IG tour, the food and drink prices are actually cheap. For example, a non-alcoholic drink is usually below 100 THB, a beer is around 120 THB, a dessert is around 160 THB and main dish is only around 200 THB. For details, you can view their online menu.
Unfortunately, the café only takes cash. However, you should at least have 300 THB dinning credit from the booking deposit.
Wonder where to get the best THB rate? Check out our guide for that !
As for the food quality, well it is just at-par. It is just similar to food court in most of the malls in Bangkok and far away from best-valued restaurants like Copper Beyond. I would advise you not to order raw seafood especially salmon there, as it is not very fresh. Other than that other dishes are just standard.
Servicing
While the food quality and price are acceptable, the café is notorious for slow service. There are multiple reviews indicating that the order taking and delivery are slow. Some even report that the staff may forget your dinning credit during check-out, although I didn’t experience that during my last visit.
Although, you need to be mindful of the slow service, it wouldn’t affect your time for photo.
Getting To Bubble In The Forest Cafe
The best way to get to the café is via Grab. Although, Bolt also works in Bangkok and may seem cheaper, there are multiple cases that Bolt drivers would refuse order. The drive could range from 40 to 50 minutes. The closest BTS station is Mo Chit. From there, if you hail a grab drive, it will take less than 35 minutes to reach the Café. It is worth mentioning Mo Chit is also the BTS station for Chatuchak market, in case you want to do some shopping before the photos.
Public transport is also available but it will take up more than 2 hours. So I recommend you to stay ~ 300 THB on the Grab ride instead.
Table Reservation
The best way to book a place in the café is to do it via online travel agency or book a package with set menu. For details on the booking guide, you may refer to another post regarding multiple booking methods.

Day Tour To The Café
Alternatively, you can also take a day tour to the Café. There are plenty of options online that will take you to multiple attractions. I took the one that also includes 5 other attractions in the same day including Maeklong Railway, Damneon Saduak Floating Market, Phra Pathom Chedi, After The Rain Café and Jodd Fairs Night Market. This is the best tour available so far. Because instead of spending 1.5 hour (two way drive) for a destination, I experience 6 attractions on the same day.
If you are looking for visiting more IGable cafes on a day, then I also find one for IGable Cafe Bangkok tour that includes Bubble In The Forest, After The Rain and Moo Yoo Rose House on the same trip.
