Suoi Tien Water Park review to offer you a deep dive into every detail of the water park for you to plan your trip!
Suoi Tien Water Park (aka Biển Tiên Đồng Water Park) is a small water park located in the wider Suoi Tien Cultural Theme Park. Despite its small size, it offers thrilling water slides, relaxing pools, and family-friendly attractions that make it a must-visit spot for locals and tourists alike.
I spent a very relaxing and fun ~ 3 hours in the water park during my last visit to Suoi Tien Cultural Theme Park. The entrance fee is very cheap at 150k VND (~ 6 USD) for adults and 90k VND (~ 3.5 USD) for children. With one entrance fee, you enjoy every attraction in the water park. It is indeed a very good deal!
Unfortunately, there is not much information online about this water park. If you search Suoi Tien Water Park, you are likely to have results regarding the whole cultural theme park instead of specific information. Worse, the picture of the “grey mountain with a fairy statue” (the one on our feature page) creates a false sense of it being a standalone water park.
That’s why I would like to provide you with a detailed review for your trip planning.
🎡 Spending A Day In The HCMC Water Park ✅ Book Your Ticket!

Standalone Water Park Entrance
Suoi Tien Cultural Theme Park is a large local HCMC theme park with multiple ticket options. If you want to book the water-only ticket, you can go on Trip.com or Klook to book the water park only ticket “Suoi Tien Theme Park Dong Water Park Ticket,” which is usually 5% + cheaper than the official price.
A Brief History of Suoi Tien Water Park
Suoi Tien Theme Park, or Công viên Văn hóa Suối Tiên, opened in 1995 and quickly became one of Vietnam’s most beloved attractions. The Suoi Tien water park (aka Biển Tiên Đồng Water Park) was an add-on to the park expansion. Similar to the main theme park, the waterpark has decorations of Buddhas, temples, and other Vietnamese cultural decorations.
With this theme park, it provides you with more reasons to visit Ho Chi Minh City (“HCMC”) not only first time but second time.
How To Get To Suoi Tien Water Park

As per the main theme park map, the water park is located at the bottom right corner. If you are purchasing a combo ticket that includes multiple attractions in the theme park and water park, you will need to turn right after entering the main entrance.
Instead, if you are only purchasing the water park ticket, the entrance will be on the bottom right-hand side.

Since the Suoi Tien park is located in District 9 of HCMC (full address), the best way to get there is via the newly opened HCMC metro in late 2024. As per my last visit, there is only one metro line (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien Terminal). You can start from either Ben Thanh (L1 01) or Opera House (L1 02) station, which is the prime location for all HCMC attractions within walking distance. Then you get off at National University station (L1 13).
The whole journey is around 40 minutes. It is not only faster than taking Grab or GrabBike, but you can also enjoy the city landscape during your Metro ride. Additionally, you can use Visa directly for the HCMC metro ride and save time for ticket purchase.
Park Opening Time, Entrance Fee & Locker Service

The water park opens from 7 am to 5 pm daily (until 6 pm on weekends). They don’t have a check to prevent you from bringing water or food outside.
The standalone ticket is 150k VND for adults and 90k VND for children. Locker rental is available at 20k VND (less than 1 USD) each. For the locker, they take cash only. So remember to exchange sufficient VND before your visit.
🎡 The HCMC Water Park Is Very Affordable ✅ Book Your Ticket!
Suoi Tien Water Park: The Main Attraction
The water park is small, as I said. It is a lot smaller than the one I had for Vinwonders in Nha Trang and let alone some full-scale waterpark like HK Ocean Park or Aquaventure World in Dubai. By walking, I suppose you can browse the whole park within 30 minutes or so.
Despite the size, it has a good combination of thrill rides, wave pool, water games, and kid pools. In fact, I have had a wonderful time during my last stay.
Of course, if you have limited time in HCMC, I suggest you buy a combo ticket to enjoy all the attractions in the wider theme park. Or else if you are visiting HCMC second time or longer, it is okay to just chill at the park.
In a nutshell, the park is divided into three parts, namely a central park with relaxing chairs and kid attractions, a wave pool with waterslides on the left-hand side, and a thrill tube ride & water games on the right side.
The Central Area – Kid Pool & Relax Area

The central area consists of a resting area of multiple benches, lockers & changing rooms, a snack shop, a swim suit shop, and a kid pool with water slides and a 3-storey building in the middle. It is the area where you can chill with snacks at the benches while enjoying the very affordable local fried meatball stews at ~ 3,000 VND each. It is even cheaper than most of the street food you can find in Vietnam.
Despite being a kids’ pool, it is a good area for teenagers and adults to have fun as well.
The Left Area – Wave Pool

On the left-hand side, you will find the wave pool area of the water park. The wave is gentle, and you will find two large water slides at the end of it. The pool also offers several small water slides on two sides with different free tubes for you to enjoy the wave.
The Right Area – The Thrill Water Slides & Water Activities

Getting around to the right-hand side of the park, you will find the signature twisting tube slides. There are two slides you can choose one on the left and the one on the right. I tried both during my last visit because of the short queue. They are more or less the same. The slide is not long, and you will need to pick a tube from the tube area before going up to the slide entrance. The largest tube can accommodate three people at the same time.
Despite a short slide, it still offered me enough excitement for playing three times.
On the way to the thrill slide, in the same area, you will find the best place in the water park for kids & teenagers. It is the lazy river area where you can either chill on the free tube provided. Or playing basketball or soccer in the pool. My friends and I had a lot of fun playing basketball together with the locals.
🎡 Suoi Tien Water Park Is Small But Worth ✅ Book Your Ticket!

A Small But Worthy Water Park
The water park is small with mainly three areas. The thrilling waterslide is limited to the tube ride only. However, it is a very cozy and affordable park that you can spend a good afternoon and possibly meet some local friends there. Check out the latest price and offer on Trip.com or Klook to secure the best price for your experience !
A Truly Worthy Local Theme Park
Unlike the VinWonders Chain, the Suoi Tien Park is oriented to serve the locals. Similar to my experience in the Saigon Zoo, tourists are a minority among all the visitors. This is exactly what makes this park special and especially good for HCMC second visitor. Because you are likely to spend your time in main attractions like Cu Chi Tunnel, Museums, etc, in your first visit.
But if you have spare time, like visiting HCMC beyond 3 days, this is the best place to have a new experience while indulging in local life. The water park, as I mentioned, is a small park and only part of the whole theme park.
However, it is worth going even on a standalone basis. If you have a day, I would suggest you buy a combo ticket to explore the whole Suoi Tien park.
