The Suoi Tien Them Park combo ticket review is for you to select the best offer for your day in the Theme Park. Suoi Tien Theme Park is a cultural hybrid theme park located in Ho Chi Minh City District 9.
It is one of the most unique theme park, has a great variety of activities. From animal exhibitions like the crocodile kingdom and mini zoo, multiple thrill rides and a water park. The most unique part of that is most of the rides and park decoration are blended with Vietnamese folklore, Eastern and also Western Culture.
During my last visit, I was very surprised to see a temple, an Egyptian ride, and then a Harry Potter ride co-exist in the same theme park. Despite its uniqueness, the ticket options on the official site or other online travel agencies like Klook and Trip.com are very confusing.
For example, on Klook, there are more than 10 options available, namely “Admission & Happy Train”, “Adventure Thrill Combo”, “Travel and Experience Combo”, “Fun Tastic Combo”. “Classic Tour Ticket”, “Thrill Seeker Combo Ticket”, “Combo Ultimate Fun Pass For Adults”, “Combo Kid Paradise Ticket”, “Tien Dong Water Park Ticket”, “Family Fun Combo Ticket”, “Family Explore Combo Ticket” and “Family Adventure Ticket”.
It was quite a headache for me as a first-time visitor to choose the right ticket. By listing all the options above, I believe you already feel the same too. No worries this is exactly why I write this combo ticket review for you.

Multiple Combo Ticket Options
At the time of writing, there are over 10 options for Suoi Tien Theme Park tickets. Comparing the official website, Trip.com, and Klook. Trip.com, in general, provides the cheapest price for all of the options. However, Klook has clearer descriptions on the packages.
The Suoi Tien Theme Park In A Nutshell

Before we dive into the endless options, let’s take a look at the park map below first.
From the park map, there are over 60 attractions in the park. However, the counting of attractions is a bit confusing. For example, number 59 is the Bien Tien Dong water park, it is the place that you can spend ~ 3 hours chilling, splashing, and have fun with some water slides. However, it counts as only one point on the map.
Whereas, number 43, the Viking boat, would probably only take you 3 minutes and it is a mini ride. Some other attractions, like number 5 is only a temple and the main gate (number 1) also counts as 1 “ride”.
The Park Opening Time & How To Get There

The park opens from 7 am to 5 pm daily (closes at 6 pm during weekends). That means you shall have around 10 hours for the visit at max.
Unfortunately, it is located in District 9 of HCMC. From District 1 of HCMC, it takes close to 1 hour to arrive there. The recommended way to get to Suoi Tien Theme Park from District 1 is by either Grab / Grab Bike (~40 minutes & ~ 250k VND) or Metro (~ 40 minutes & ~ 15k VND). Alternatively, you can also take bus 19 from Ben Thanh Market for 7k VND with a travel duration of over an hour.
For travellers in HCMC, District 1 is the main spot for all attractions, including multiple museums, markets, and attractions like Saigon Zoo. The most sensible place to stay is also in District 1. That means if you are to arrive at the park at 7 am, you will need to wake up at least at 6 am.
That’s why planning a park visit could be a bit daunting. During my last visit, I arrived at the park at around 9 a.m., spent most of the time taking the attractions around the park (with an ultimate combo ticket), and then relaxed and chilled at the water park around 3 p.m.
Must-Go Attractions: Suoi Tien Theme Park
One step before I go through each of the combo tickets, let’s check out the must-visit attractions within the park first, so that we have an idea of what to achieve.
Vietnamese Folklore Attractions & 18 Levels of Hell

What makes the theme park special is unlike other theme parks in Vietnam, such as the Vinwonders chain, it has multiple cultural factors inside. This is something that you cannot find in other more advanced theme parks worldwide, i.e., the Bangkok Safari World in Thailand, HK Ocean Park and HK Disneyland in Hong Kong, or Universal Studios in Singapore. Even the Buddha Park in Laos is no match for that in terms of scale and variety.
Other than the “random” temples and displays inside the parks, the most eye-opening one is probably the ride of “18 levels of hell”. This is the ride depicting Buddhist concepts of the afterlife in hell for 18 different types of punishment. For details, you can check out “Kỳ Lân Cung (Unicorn Palace)” on the official IG page.
There, you will be walking through the story of a citizen being sent to hell from the first floor. Then, when you walk down, you will see the display for each level of hell. It is very impressive even for someone with 50 + various theme park experiences like me.
The Crocodile Kingdom

Another must-visit attraction is the crocodile kingdom. It is a spacious area that hosts more than a hundred crocodiles. Not only are there multiple educational materials inside for kids. You can also experience crocodile fishing for 5,000 (~ 0.2 USD). By paying 5,000 VND, you will have a large meat with a bamboo pole. Then you can use that to “fish the crocodile”. Of course, it is for fun only; there is no way you will succeed. However, it is a very great experience.
In the same area, there is also another mini zoo. Unlike the crocodiles, most of them have limited space, and I don’t think the zoo is even ethical. Other than that, you should not go to the bird world, where instead of birds, they have a bunch of bats.
The Water Park

The average temperature of HCMC is around 30 degrees Celsius. So the water park is the best place to chill. It is also the best place to relax, have fun, and even mingle with the locals after a long walk in day.
The Snow Castle

Another great ride in the park is the snow castle. It is a snow ride where you can grab a tube for sliding in the icy indoor environment. The park will provide you with a jacket and boots, so you do not need to prepare anything in advance. It is the best place to cool down in the hot weather as well.
Other Optional Attractions

Other than must-visit attractions, there are also rides like bumper cars, wheel of fortune, Viking boat, dragon boat, overhead cable car, and universal dish ride. They are just the common rides that you would see in other theme parks like Saigon Zoo in HCMC or May Park in Vung Tau. Although I find the Universal Dish Ride to be one of the most thrilling rides I’ve ever tried.
Other than that, you can also find visual attractions like 9D cinema, The Nebula, and other roller coaster rides inside the park. However, they are not very impressive. Additionally, there are several fish spas for you to relax. Alternatively, there is a Swan Lake paddle in the middle of the park as well.
Other than that, there are multiple food booths with affordable prices. For example, a cup of black coffee only costs 15k VND (less than 1 USD). So remember to exchange enough VND for your visit.

So Which Combo Ticket Is The Best?

Choosing The Best Combinations

Based on my experience, the only optimal choices would be limited to the 3 below.
1. Choosing the Combo Ultimate Fun Pass For Adults, you shall be able to enjoy all the best rides and optional rides. It feels fun going to the ride 1 by 1, and it definitely can occupy you for the whole day. I chose this option as well, but honestly, I didn’t finish all 30 rides during my last visit. The only drawback is that it is the most expensive option, but it does save time.
2. The relatively optimal option is to pick the “Family Fun Combo Ticket” and “Water Park Ticket” then you basically enjoy all the must-go attractions with the best price.
3. The last option is to pick the “Admission & Happy Train”, which is the cheapest. Plus, you can pay extra for each of the rides, including the water park, separately. The drawback is that you probably waste lots of time choosing which extra to pick inside the park.

Our Recommended Option
Our recommended options are either the ultimate combo one which saves most of the time but higher price. Or using the family ticket that includes most of the must-visit attractions, + buying a water park ticket separately. Or else just buy the admission ticket and purchase others on site. Check out the latest price on Klook or Trip.com for the best price.
Is Suoi Tien Theme Park Worth Going?
Suoi Tien Theme Park has a good combination of local and international elements. It gives me another reason to visit HCMC for the second time.
It is definitely worth going for those who have completed the main attractions in HCMC, such as Cu Chi Tunnel, multiple museums, and have done some French fine dining. If you budget a whole day for this theme park, I suppose the ultimate combo is the best option, considering the time saved.
