Feature Page for Dubai Atlantis Aquaventure Review

Want to add a day of coolness and thrill to your Dubai journey? Check out our Dubai Atlantis Aquaventure review before going!

As recommended in our earlier Dubai itinerary with budget, we spent a great day in the Atlantis Aquaventure. I highly recommend you spare a day for this awesome waterpark.

It is good for couples, family, with friends or even solo travel.

This blog post is dedicated to the Atlantis Aquaventure review for you to decide if you should go or not.

What is special about Dubai Atlantis Aquaventure?

First, it is one of (if not THE) largest waterpark in the world. Furthermore, it has over 105 slides, attractions, and experiences. So it is nearly impossible for you to experience every single one of them in a day. On top of that, it also has an aquarium called The Lost Chambers containing over 65,000 marine animals.

If that is not enough, it also offers multiple watersports, snorkeling, and diving at the park. Besides, the excitement, there are several chilling spots for you to recharge. That includes a 1km long white sand Aquaventure Beach. There you can enjoy a walk on the white sand with the landscape of turquoise waters and amazing skyline views of Dubai.

Or else, you can take a tube to float at the Aquaventure lagoon surrounding the whole park to enjoy the drifting and sunshine.

With these varieties, the admission fee is just ~ 90 USD and sometimes there are even seasonal offers. This price is similar to most of the water parks in developed Countries but there you enjoy a lot more. So the Dubai waterpark is worth it.

Dubai Atlantis Aquaventure Opening Hour

The Altas Village (where you need to pay extra for other marine experiences) is open from 9:45 am to 6 pm, and the Lost Chambers Aquarium is open from 10 am to 9 pm.

For first-time visitors, I strongly recommend you to go for Aquaventure Waterpark only due to the limited time. There are a lot of online travel agencies like Klook, which would includes a combo ticket that includes Lost Chamber with ~ 10 USD extra.

In theory, Lost Chamber is not large and you can properly complete the visit after the Aquaventure Waterpark after 6:30 pm. At the same time, it is not particularly special compared to other aquariums. So you should decide rather you want to rush or not.

How to get there Dubai Atlantis Aquaventure

If you are staying at the Atlantis resort, you will have free entry to the Atlantis Aquaventure. However, if you are like me going to Aquaventure without staying at Atlantis, then the Atlantis Aquaventure waterpark monorail is the best option.

The best way to get to the Aquaventure Waterpark is via the Palm Jumeirah Monorail. It is only 5 AED (less than 1.5 USD) for a single ride. Plus, you can enjoy the scenic view of Atlantis Resort, the island, and the waterpark on the way. Furthermore, you will even enjoy the upgraded scene with a sunset backdrop on your way return.

To get to the Palm Monorail station, you can either take bus line 8 to Palm Jumeirah Monorail Station. Or get on the Red Line to Al Khail Metro Station. From here, you can either walk (around 20 minutes).

Which Slide To Prioritize In Dubai Atlantis Aquaventure?

Knowing the scale of the waterpark, the first question would be which slide is the best or which slide we should play first.

I would recommend you start with the world-record-breaking rides first.

The first one would be the Leap of Faith which is one of the fastest waterslides in the world. It is basically a near-vertical drop through a shark-filled lagoon. The Leap of Faith is just near the entrance of the waterpark.

Next, you should try Poseidon’s Revenge (which I find it even more exciting than the Leap of Faith). There you will be placed in a single capsule before dropping with hit seeds reaching 60km/h.

If you are looking for more, you can also try “Vortex” and “Blackout”. Or you can go to the Immortal Falls where you can experience cliff jumps.

For couple travels, there are multiple high-thrilling rides such as “Surge” and “The Storm” where you can experience the excitement with your loved one.

Apart from the high-intensity thrilling rides, you should also go for the most famous ride – “Shark Attack” at Neptune Tower. There you will enjoy an inner tube ride into a fiberglass tunnel with 360 shark-infested lagoon.

Of course, based on your preference there are also a lot family family-friendly low-intensity rides. Alternatively, enjoying the beach is also a good option. The official website of Dubai Atlantis Aquaventure provides an interactive page for you to locate the most suitable ride.

Should I book the ticket for Atlantis Aquaventure in advance?

It is possible to purchase the Aquaventure at the park. The official price is AED 345 (~93USD). However, you will also get a better offer to book in advance via an online travel agent or even on the official website. For example, Klook is currently offering the day pass at USD 70 instead for the moment.

As for whether you should also buy the combo deal for Lost Chamber Aquarium, it depends on your preference. To me, it is just a small decent aquarium. In any case, you should prioritize your time for the waterpark first.

Other points to note

I hope you enjoy our Dubai Atlantis Aquaventure review. Before you go let’s take a quick look at some remaining points to note for the waterpark.

Is there an age restriction in Atlantis Aquaventure?

No, but most rides, especially the thrilling ones would require a height higher than 1.2m. For super-intensive rides, like Poseidon’s Revenge, it would even require you to weigh more than 40kg.

Is there a dress code in Atlantis Aquaventure?

No, despite the UAE being a Muslim Country, you can wear bikinis there.

Is there a towel provided in Atlantis Aquaventure?

No, unless your package also includes it, otherwise you should bring your own towel.

Is there a locker provided in Atlantis Aquaventure?

No, but there is a storage area for each ride and it is in general safe. Alternatively, you can also purchase locker service.

Is there a fast pass in Atlantis Aquaventure?

Yes, it is called AquaXpress at an extra cost.

Can I bring food or drinks inside Atlantis Aquaventure?

No for food but yes for water (other drinks not okay). However, I did successfully bring some snacks/fruit inside. Also, the Aquaventure food prices are not crazily expensive inside and are similar to the city center. The Starbucks even has the same price as the city center.

How about Atlantis Aquaventure safety?

All the rides are in general safe and the waterpark also has a professional team of lifeguards. There are medical centers spread across the park.  The park as one of the most renowned waterpark in the world has the highest safety standard. You can enjoy the water park even if you are a non-swimmer.

You may have heard of the water park Atlantis shark slide accident but it is not related to the Dubai one. I took multiple shark rides inside the waterpark and felt totally safe.

Conclusion for the Dubai Atlantis Aquaventure review:

Based on our Dubai Atlantis Aquaventure review, the Dubai Waterpark is definitely worth going. It has a reasonable admission price. You can enjoy the most record-breaking slides there. Or to relax at the beach and one of the longest tube-floating rivers.

It is a special blessing in contrast to the hot local weather.  It is definitely a must-item for your Dubai travel.
